We at Austin TAAP missed seeing you at the 2020 symposium due to ‘The Virus That Shall Not Be Named.’ But now it’s 2021 and WE’RE BACK! We are dedicated to promoting the advancement of addiction-focused professionals by uniting alcoholism and other addiction counselors throughout the Austin area. One way we do this is through our annual symposium. This year we will be virtual because, well, everyone’s doin’ it. We are proud to host the following educational and engaging presentations to our community:
Dr. James Boone, MD will present The Science of Spirituality
Brittany Lollis Tolar, LCSW, LCDC, CDWF-C will speak on Diversity in Addiction Treatment
Candace Kimbrough, LPC, LCDC and Enrique Covarrubias, Ph.D. will speak on Substance Use Disorder in the DSM-5
Dr. Kevin McCauley, M.D. will educate us on Cannabis Legalization vs. Mass Incarceration – an Evolving Syndemic Relationship
CEUs will be available for the following licenses: SW, LPC, LMFT*
Don’t miss out on this special opportunity: Due to the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to offer this year’s symposium FREE for ALL ATTENDEES! Please make time during the breaks, over lunch, and after the conference to take a virtual walk through all of the booths, take notes and follow up with these wonderful resources.
*CEU hours are subject to approval from individual licensing boards.
