Welcome!

TAAP invites you to attend the virtual offering of our 46th Annual State Conference. Although we will miss seeing our friends and colleagues this year, we have gathered a great group of presenters to provide topics relevant to the times we are in. Plus, you will be able to obtain a portion of the hours required for LCDC licensure.

We appreciate the commitment addiction professionals across Texas have demonstrated during this time of COVID-19. We know many have continued to provide services in person, while some quickly learned the ins and outs of telehealth. Many have served as first responders on the front line to make sure those in need of addiction related services were able to obtain them. We salute you and are proud to be among this great group of professionals.

By registering for the conference you can earn up to 10.5 CEs, including 1.5 hours each in HIV/STD, Ethics, and Clinical Supervision. Sessions will be offered on Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday, September 10 – 12. If you are unable to virtually attend a session during its scheduled time you will have one month to view it at your leisure. To have this option you must register for the conference prior to Saturday, Sept 12 at 9 AM.

Understanding this has been a challenging time for many of our members and regular attendees, we are offering the conference for $20. There is only a full registration option.

Please take time to “visit” our virtual exhibit hall to learn about the wide range of services offered. You can do this when convenient, 24 hours/day, on the conference dates and up to one week after.

Many of us look forward to attending our Annual State Conference each year and our Conference Committee has anguished over this decision for a good while. Switching to this virtual option became the only path forward as COVID-19 has continued to impact Texas. We thank you for understanding, and also hope you will take advantage of the virtual offering. This is a transition we have made very quickly so we appreciate your patience as we all learn together.

We certainly hope to be back in full swing for our in person conference in 2021 at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort on September 8 – 11, 2021. For now, we look forward to “seeing” you virtually this year!

On behalf of the TAAP Board of Directors and Conference Committee,
